Missing You

Some things I wish were as open as me
Some things I wish wernt as tarnished as green metal in the sea.
And what hurts the most is knowing how close we used to be.
It was nothing but love between you and me.
But now it seems we are more distant than a new divorcee.
I know past engagements have torn you down.
Your happy spirits are a covered up  frown.
But I wish things could change.
Although they may never be the same, 
Just know I'm always there if you'd ever need  me
again.
